Volume 2 of the print comic, including chapters 4 thru 6, is coming along. Layout is about half done and cover has been designed. Here’s a little preview. Also Volume 1 is now available in a monochrome version for $6.95, much more affordable than the color version!

8.42 Transcript
Kiro: You said you didn’t care about the results of the election.
Penny: I said, as long as they can do their job competently. I’m sorry, but I don’t believe Reina is capable of that.
Kiro: So now you want to sabotage what she had planned?
Penny: Not exactly, no. I’m pretty sure you are the one behind this scheme. Reina will play along, till she decides it’s easier for her not to.
Kiro: That’s a mean thing to say.
Penny: Oh?
Reina: Come on, everyone! This way!
I think Penny feels threatened by Reina and she’s lashing out. It’s been teased that she’s “really the one in control of the council” and that probably has a lot to do with people like Darien being there. It’s a good bet that she knows she has no sway over Reina, and is trying to see if she can influence Kiro.

I’m so hoping Penny is wrong, but Reina does seem to have little bit more smile on her face than one might expect. Focus and concern would be more appropriate.
It’s hard to say for sure whether Penny’s wrong about Reina, but I do think she’s not right, either. I subscribe to the notion that power doesn’t usually corrupt so much as reveal, and if Reina wins, we’ll see just what kind of leader she’ll be.
At any rate, it looks like things could come to a head very quickly here, if those two are still arguing when the campers show up…
Nevermind, it seems Penny does in fact have an inkling that Kiro’s cooking up a plot of her own.
But I really have to wonder what makes her think Darien is all that competent himself.
Darien doesn’t need to be competent, just easy to manipulate. So I guess I’m with SevenX77.
I think Penny is telling the truth and Reina did everything she’s accused of. I also think she won’t do it to Kiro. People change and Reina I think is changing. I also think she has a crush on Kiro and well, that will probably help her not fully betray her.
