Reina: I have the solution to the food crisis. If I become president, everyone at camp will eat well, starting tonight!
Penny: You can’t just trust Reina. She’ll use you and lose you.
Kiro: Oh? And what’s your interest in this now?
Penny: Show me where it is. What you brought in on that boat.
Kiro: What boat?
Oh Kiro, that one’s not gonna fly, but keep stalling if you can.
I kind of wish the comic really goes back and fully explores why Reina is so untrusted. Her reputation has only been touched on thus far in her treatment if Kiro, we clearly need way more development to show how we got here where everyone seems to more or less agree she’ll backstab you.
More on Reina’s background will come in chapter 9! 🙂

Come on, Kiro! The come back should have been right there: “Why should I trust you?” Seriously, why trust Penny, or any of them? Paranoia is the name of the game!
In order to break the cycle, someone has to change. Kiro’s got the right idea, let’s just hope that she can actually reach and change Reina!

It’s funny how it seems to not occur to Penny that Kiro is the one using Reina. I mean, she’s doing it with the intention of, y’know, saving everyone’s lives, but still.
