Sorry about the late update. I’ve been working nonstop since last Wednesday and finally have one blessed day off to deal with the rest of my life.
9.24 transcript
Kiro: Reina, this is enough! Let’s go!
Reina: We’re done for. Now the food is gone, too. The entire reason I was chosen, What do I do now, what I promised, it’s all gone?
[Kiro: You suck it up and find a way, that’s what I’ve always done. But that’s not what she wants, or needs, to hear.]
Wherein even Reina confirms that Kiro has to lead. The sudden choppiness of that water seems to rule out a last-minute Ben rescue.
It’s true that Reina only went for it because Kiro had a plan, so it only makes sense that when said plan falls apart she does, too. But Kiro is also right, you really do need to just find another way no matter how hard it is to see it at first.
And I really hope Ben wasn’t on that boat… but it’s looking worse and worse for him… =[
I mean, the rest of the kids seem to be inclined to just follow Kiro’s lead at this point. They certainly know who’s really in control.
No, not what she wants to hear but I think it is what Reina needs to hear. First, because she has accepted responsibility. Second, because Kiros influence would take a hard hit if Reina fails…
