Kiro: What
Kiro: I won’t deny the existence of a weapons stash, but I assure you that has nothing to do with our platform.
Penny: Riiight.
[Kiro: So she found the weapons somehow… but doesn’t sound like she knows about the food.]
Penny: An aside about Reina: When Archie vanished, Darien initially refused to launch a search for him. Only when Mom offered a reward, did he become obsessed with finding A. Reina never forgave him for it. She’ll take any chance to turn the camp against him. Considering those weapons, I can see this ending very badly.
Reina: Almost there!
It seems Penny is counting on Reina turning traitor to Kiro. However, she has no idea about the curse or of Kiro’s true intentions. Add to that Kiro herself knows there is much more at stake here than politics
Penny has a point IF Reina is blind-sighted enough to lead everyone to the weapons on the way to the food. That doesn’t seem likely.
Though… if some kids get hungry later and come snooping around for food, they may stumble on either stash – or both of them.
And THAT can certainly turn ugly.
And now we’re moving from politics to statecraft.
Politics seem kinda petty at this point.
Just work together to get food! Why do you need to vote?
…wait, Mom offered a reward? What was the reward?
Voting: probably to get steadier heads in power to prevent the in-fighting that will start once they hit bigger problems than immediate food supply.
Reward: a shortened sentence? Adequate food?
So Dorien refused to search for Archie, and sentenced Kiro to starvation?
And Penny holds a toad like him up as an exemplar of leadership? I’m guessing trhat she’s trying to protect her puppet….
