8.44 Transcript
Penny: Here’s the deal. If you put a stop to this, I’ll make sure you’re cleared of all your crimes… and grant you the full protection of the council, provided I remain on it.
[Kiro: Put a stop? That means destroying the food.]
~[Kechika: don’t underestimate the difficulty of surviving a northern winter.]~
Kiro: You might not believe this, but I’ve got this all under control.
Penny: Oh? Then why does it seem like Reina’s leading them straight towards a huge pile of weapons?
Weapons and food, always getting mixed up. Makes humanitarian aid difficult.
“Put a stop => destroying the food” – bit of a jump there. I am sure the council would happily seize the food from Reina, not that this would help odds of survival.
We’ve secretly replaced all the food with weapons. Let’s see if they notice!
For someone supposedly good at manipulation Penny really seems to be doing an awful job of getting Kiro on her side. I would have expected her to.. I dunno, not be so abrasive?
To be fair to Penny, she was caught by surrprise. I could see this just her being too defensive without realizing it.
Food can be used as a weapon is you’re creative enough, right?
Apparently Penny doesn’t believe the food exists. Then, Reina must be leading the crowd towards something else. Funny how the pile of weapons is the next thing… which she hid there to keep it from the campers.
Of course, this has all the makings of a curse event. Mob chases after food, finds weapons, what could go wrong etc.
I think Kiro would be stupid to back off now. She has somewhere to retreat other than the camp, she doesn’t depend on Penny or Reina at all.
Yeah, it certainly seems like that’s the most likely scenario if things go south – everyone finding the weapons and anarchy ensues.
That might lead to Kiro and Reina having to flee camp and live on their own with Daisy and A, as the title bar graphic suggests. Could be interesting? We’ll have to wait and see!
