Daisy: I’ll give you one chance to explain, bucko
Daisy: Or you’re cleaning the latrine all winter
A: Look I also suspected Mom had some interest in Kiro Dubois.
A: But after I found the captain’s journal everything changed.
A: Having a Dubois show up here is the last thing she’d possibly want.
A: I think she panicked after the discovery of the journal and data. She may have suspected I was behind it. THat’s why I ran off.
A: When Kiro showed up at the beehives, I realized it was already too late.
A: We have to find out who brought her here.
Daisy: Does it matter? If what you say is true, we should be worried enough about surviving this winter.
So… is it normally Daisy’s job to clean the latrine?
Might be a shared duty, in which case getting the full-time job would be a suitable punishment for some offenses.
If you don’t know who is behind her being there, you won’t know whom to watch out for–and hopefully, thwart. 🙂
What exactly does Mom think A did?
Massacre people ages ago? Um, no.
Write the journal? Seems like it would be too hard to fake an old book.
Put info on Kiro in the system? But both the diary and Kiro coming here are outside A’s control. And the file was there before Daisy found the diary. Doesn’t make any sense timeline-wise.
Either I’m dumb, or A isn’t telling the whole truth.
A question: What would happen if Kiro’s parents disowned her?
It’s obvious that “Mom” must know about the curse; why else would she react the way she did when she discovered that A found it? So she can’t just be there to take advantage of the gaming addiction. There must be something more to this that either A doesn’t know, understood wrongly, or isn’t telling us.
I can’t get over how adorable Kiro’s face is in the last panel (or how many cute faces she has in general)
