11.03 Transcript
[Kiro: Should I bring it up? But if it was a dream, she’d think I’m nuts. Again.]
Daisy: About what happened last night…
Kiro: urk
Daisy: I like you, but I’m not really into girls, and you know I have a partner.
Kiro: I’m sorry.
Emotional damage!
So, it looks like Daisy is one of those right-up-front, rip-the-bandage-off-quick sort.
So Daisy no longer denies to be in a relationship with A?
Nope, after what Kiro seen in comic 7.37, it would be hard for Daisy to deny her and A’s relationship.
Daisy is pretty cool about it, all things considered. Kiro is probably really confused with everything that’s going on. Hopefully this doesn’t affect their friendship too much.
Aww. I was rooting for a Kiro/Daisy couple.
I guess it’s nice Daisy is making sure she won’t lead Kiro on, though.
Huh so that did happen I guess. I’m kind of confused. Near the beginning, when Reina offers anything to Kiro for Kiro’s aid in finding A, Kiro said she didn’t “swing that way”.
I think she’s just as confused as you are.
You know, horny teenagers.
Yep… been there.
On another note, and sorry if this is rude, does SereneSeal have protanopia? I thought the slight green tint and Penny and Mom’s hair colors were artistic decisions, but then I put one of the pages through a colorblind filter and it yellowed things out, made Penny blond, and gave Mom regular gray-blue hair.
Interesting. I am indeed somewhat colorblind. The green tint was pointed out a while ago and I thought I had corrected it, but is it still noticeable?
The hair color is supposed to be that way though.
Ah. Looking at it in an image editor, the big thing I’m seeing is the lack of red in the characters’ skin and lighter hair (aside from the dyed stuff, of course). Adding 6-7 points to the percentage red did the trick for every character I tried it on. 8 or 10 worked even better most of the time, but with the side effect of making characters less pale. Aside from that, I don’t really notice anything.
… I might have been the one who brought up the green tint thing and thanks to you, Doomy-Doom, now I think I understand what I’m seeing!
@sereneseal: Thinking back, your really special colouring style might have been the thing that really drew my eye and made me click on this comic’s ad quite a while ago. So don’t get me wrong – I’d be fine with it not changing that much, actually =)

So… after doing some comparisons with actual skin tones on a color wheel I have concluded: it is FAR worse than I originally thought and I’ve figured out why. I typically work on the comic at night and use a tonal shift on my computer screen so it doesn’t strain my eyes as much. But that adds a lot of red to the apparent color of the screen and I seem to have unwittingly given everything a slight green tone to compensate for it!
This is extraordinarly embarrassing and I wish I had time to go back and edit the older pages but (as you can see with my super delayed revision of the beginning chapters) I’ve been suffering an extreme shortage of time. I’ve gone and altered the skin tones on my character sheets and you should start to see non-green people within some updates, depending on how fast I can work back through the buffer and fix everything.
I’m not gonna lie, always thought the skin tones were an artistic choice, never really questioned it too much, and grew to embrace it as a unique aspect of this comic. Actually gonna be kinda sad to see it go, at least IMO.
That would explain why it looks fine when I’m using my phone in night mode, and looks a bit off when I’m reading on a monitor without a color shift. Anyway don’t sweat it, me, and I think most of your readers are understanding and patient.
Yeah, sorry about all this. We can just say that Kiro’s vision was green from her subconscious envy towards A, and with this rejection, it’s finally cleared.
Penny with dirty blonde hair be hittin’ different for some reason.
Thank goodness.
Wham! Psychic damage 6d20.
If there is even a remote chance of suffering embarrassment, you can bet Murphy’s Law is gonna take that chunk out of your hide. Egos beware!
I read that in Steven He’s voice… lol *facepalm*
So no immediate shrine quest I’m guessing.
Ha! So did I. =)
Well, at least THAT got cleared up!
While embarrassing, Kiro isn’t going to have the doubt of it being a dream or not weigh on her while she is trying to deal with the camp.
Well, at least she’s up-front about it.
I guess we’re pretty much used to your unique coloring style by now.
As for my personal 2cents: please do not change it (or not too much.)
The difference should be very slight, it’s just a minor skin tone adjustment. I just don’t want them to look green, it wasn’t my original artistic intention.
I watched Kakegurui Twin recently and the green tint through the whole show was a bit too much for me (were they also working on a color shifted screen?) guess i’m not totally colorblind after all.
My last comment was meant for the “Emotional damage” comment…
