Last week’s trip was a fiasco for multiple reasons and we ended up turning back before even getting to our island. but on the way back saw a huge pod of humpback whales! I’ve only seen a few whales in my entire life up to this point so this was an amazing experience. I uploaded a video here. Unfortunately this was shot on a stone age iphone…
i’ve also been out of commission for a few days as i also got an ugly case of the covid from that trip. why is this thing still lurkin around after two years. good times.

I love the way Kiro’s hair is like a frame but also a connection to the whole event, really cool. Kechika lost something, likely a piece of herself. Maybe she doesn’t even know it, but it’s time to figure it out!
That whale video is awesome! Not a bad consolation prize for missing out on another part of your trip. =]
The only way to what? To break the curse and save everybody? Also these seals are unusually talkative and helpful.

Love the whale video – it sure brings back memories from an early childhood looking out the living room windows at Fredrick Sound and watching whales and sea otters (I lived on Mitkof Is). It’s a wonderful land, hope to at least visit SE again before this turn of the wheel is over.
Is the Seal a general spirit or that of the seal Kiro killed early on? Also great video of the whales!
You need to fill in that stone pattern. Then some critter will be all like, “Yahaha, you found me!”
