Kind of a messy eater, there. No apparent table manners. ^^
Yep, you didn’t see it. And if you didn’t see it, it doesn’t exist and can’t hurt you. The slowly backing away that is about to happen is purely coincidental. 🙂
The spectral otherworldly creature is just as scared of Daisy as she is of it! Can we name it Skreeter?
Works for me. Also, Daisy is fairly steady on the nerves there, given that she’s young and alone.
Skree is the way you say “hello” in eldritch speak. Say it back to initiate a conversation.
Well, that’s kinda fishy, innit?
Today was crazy, first chance I get to read.
Whatever that little animal was, it’s been dead long enough to draw flies. Hard to believe that Daisy hasn’t seen a prey animal killed in the forest before so it’s probably safe to say this one is especially gruesome. And apparently she also caught of glimpse of… whatever that thing is. Less and less likely that it’s Ben… but hard to say yet.
Ben: a cautionary tale of why you should learn skills and make tools so that you can avoid spending several days gnawing on a raw fish that you either found on shore or somehow caught barehanded.
Fear of Daisy is to be expected.
Perspective is a funny thing. I took that to be a whale or some such, way down below, on the beach, with gulls flying around it.
Maybe Ben tangled with another curse – windigo!
