Kiro: I’m sorry, I forgot this was the hot spring room.
Shay: Oh, no worries.
Shay: Want to join me?
[Kiro: I still can’t believe this place exists under camp.]
Kiro: Ah, sure, if you don’t mind.
Kiro: Shay, you haven’t said anything about the ship, have you?
Shay: No, why would I?
Kiro: That’s a relief.
Shay: But I’m curious how you intend to fix this.
Everyone relies on Kiro, whether they realize it or not. Also, with all the horrible things this camp does to these kids, like the lack of food and poor living conditions, they have a hot spring that looks to be in decent shape.
We can see where the priorities lay when they built this place!
In panel 1, Shay’s really ogling Kiro’s top!
And looking at Kiro’s expression, I can’t help but suspect that censor steam is a lot less opaque for her than for us.
To be fair though, the hot spring is relatively self-sustaining. Building a way to utilize it was a pretty efficient move on a cost/benefit basis, and practical too.
Yes, I’m just worried about those toxic chemicals seeping in, like left those bones elsewhere.
Also, way to dash my hopes of a trap character , author.
I’m still kinda surprised it happened this way. Alan could’ve just pointed out it was perspective or censorship, but gave us a little spice instead.
Shay is cool, calm, collected. “I’m curious how you intend to fix this”. She’s got leadership and political potential. Kiro might need to be wary, lest she has another Penny, Darien and Reina to deal with…
It’s good that everyone is keeping the “incident” to themselves, but sooner or later, people are gonna get curious. Or just plain nosy.
The sinking ship is the least of Shay’s concerns right now. She wants to know what Kiro’s intentions are concerning the food. How will Kiro answer?
