It’s been in the back of her mind for a while.
Edit: Sorry, the website has been acting strange again. Actually i’m not sure if it’s the site or my terrible internet connection.

Thanks new patron Charles!
9.19 Transcript
Kiro: Reina,
Reina: I don’t know what killed them, but what’s clear is that nobody missed them.
Reina: They’ve been here long enough, only bones remain. They didn’t want to be found. Nobody knows we exist.
Kiro: Reina, we have to go. We can’t be stuck out here all night!
Reina: There’s no reason to. Why? If help’s never going to arrive?
I can see the transcript, but not the cartoon
Me neither…
Uh… I can’t see the strip. Is it just me?
Funny, I’m seeing the dialog but not the image. Tried two browsers. Anybody else?
I blame Charles.
I can’t see the comic strip either, only the transcription of it.
I can’t see it either. But if you examine the previous pages, the naming pattern is clear, so enjoy…

Same, using Safari on an iPad. I see no image, no comic. Just the “[9.19] Forgotten…” text, and what is normally beliw that.
Even if nobody’s coming to save you, you save yourself or die trying. Buck up, Reina.
Given Reina’s epiphany, now’s the time for pulling the group together as a team, teaching them how to work cooperatively toward a common goal: survival. That in itself is a ‘rehab’ function. The question is, how or whether ‘Mom’ would go along with it, which also begs the question, what is her real function here? Secondary to that, do the powers that brought the kids here know about the disease? Do they care? Did they facilitate it? Hmm. I’m a little more invested in this comic than I thought.
The only good thing about being at the bottom is that the only way to go from there is up. Reina is a strong girl, she just needs to be reminded of that.
You can do it, Kiro!
Why is Reina smiling in the first panel?
Wouldn’t you?
She’s been telling herself she can get through this if she tries hard enough. She planned on going back to a normal life. Heck, she wanted it to be better then ever before.
She learnt she needs more than just serving a sentence to get away. Her relationship that pulled her here fell apart and in a drastic manner. She’s seen the situation deteriorate more and more. She finally made a decision to take her fate in her own hands only for it to not even be taken away, but (in her eyes) proven to have been pointless the whole time.
She finally let herself lose the façade of hope she’s been holding up for so, so long. She finally found an “objective” reason to stop trying and can at last give up and rest…
Or I just went way too far with this.
Note: I have not read the comic past this point yet.
