6.02 Transcript
Kiro: So… did you want something from me?
???: An adopted Dubois? How amusing. I have not seen this trick before.
???: Shame. Your dear parents must have tried to protect you. But it is too late.
Who again was called Dubois? The fur trader captain who authored the journal?
That’s the name Kiro got from her foster parents.
Hi sereneseal, as the harpy has that weird speech balloon, I wonder what is she supposed to sound like? Shrieking, or maybe booming?
It’s up to you to determine, really. Perhaps it’s not even sound at all, and only those that are meant to hear will hear it…
Ummm… does the eagle woman realise that she has no arms to steal Krio away with? Or maybe she’ll use her feet to grab Krio and fly away? And Krio’s last name is Dubois, maybe that captaine dudes descendant?
The Dubois are her later parents, not her genetical ones.
Well, that’s comforting…..
Is the art a bit different? Not the coloring, but the art style/technique?
These few pages involve some experimenting! Y’all are my guinea pigs. Hee hee
I like it.
Kiro’s thoughts on the third panel: [Ahh! Too close! Too close!!]
Lol XD That’s what popped in my head when I saw Kiro’s expression!
Tbh, i prefer this style over the one on the previous page 🙂
Is the eagle woman based on any actual Inuit mythology?
I think the setting for this is in Tlingit territory. It’s the Pacific Northwest region, rather than the Arctic.
Yep, this is on traditional Tlingit land – she’s not a specific mythological figure, but more of a local deity (land spirit).
ILL BE DYING FOR EACH UPDATE NOW!! ITS GETTING SO GOOD!!
