Skree: ME? I AM BUT A HUMBLE SERVANT TO MASTER’S BIDDING. THOUGH I DO HAVE A PERSONAL GRIEVANCE WITH YOU NOW…
Skree: I WAS BANISHED, FOR TRYING TO HELP THEM. THAT WAS THEN. LIKE THOSE POOR FOOLS AT CAMP, I THOUGHT THIS PRISON WAS AN ESCAPABLE ONE. THEN I MET MASTER, AND LEARNED THE TRUTH. ABOUT THE CURSED BLOODLINE YOU BELONG TO.
Kiro: “Help” them?
Kiro: Fine. Let’s hear what this Master has to say.
Do you spend a lot of time practicing looming, or is it something that just comes naturally to you?
“My family has always been loomers”.
(bonus points for knowing the quote.)
Interesting inputs/outcomes going on here. Daisy was banished too, but she didn’t meet the master. Neither did A. I can’t help but wonder what sort of monkey-wrench Kiro’s actual lineage is going to throw into the master’s works. After all, unless I’m remembering it incorrectly, she claimed to have been adopted by the DuBois’, not born to them.
Definitely funny way of helping people. “Apparently we’re killing you, but actually we’re only trying to help!”
Kechika confirmed that Kiro is adopted. And there have been some hints that her adoptive parents are aware of the curse and deliberately adopted Kiro because of her powers. What’s not clear is whether they were hoping Kiro would be spared the curse or end it. Maybe both?
I’m curious to know who this “Master” is…
Supernatural being, or human, or human who possessed supernatural powers?
Or Mother, perhaps? Hmm.
Will we need to obey them?
Okay, so up into now I kinda thought maybe this guy was just borrowing the shape of somebody. At best, his body is just a shambling zombie and isn’t the real “him.” But this page definitely challenges that notion. He might still be a shadow of his former self, but he clearly has his old memories. Which makes this all the more disturbing.
Granted, assuming his physical appearance was just some supernatural thing pretending to be him might have been a dumb assumption to start with, but it definitely makes me see his previous dialog in a different light.
No bonus points for me I’m afraid, I don’t recognise that 🙁
Still sounding in charge. Good. I hope.
