Reina: Stop! That’s an order!
Kiro: Reina… I can’t always be there for you. I know what you’re looking for, girl. I’m just someone who helps you along the way. Please trust me.
Kiro: You’re the linchpin of this whole operation. We can’t afford to lose control again.
Reina: Everyone leaves in the end.
Kiro: Maybe that’s so. But right now, I’ll buy us some good will the only way I can. So don’t waste it.
David: She really is nuts.
Ian: Reina?
Hmm. Unifying the two factions, maybe?
Poor Reina, she really suffers from abandonment issues. I hope she’ll be alright. Kiro being selfless like that, hopefully it pans out for her.
I, uh. I don’t know how well Reina’s gonna take all that…
Both of them are a bit insane. But anyone would be a bit insane after some time in that camp. Furthermore, the more I think about it, the more it seems that every human being ever is a bit insane in some way or other.
Then again, this course of action isn’t really insane from Kiro’s point of view, is it? Probably not. I think most people have very rarely acted insane from their own point of view. Much of the insanity I just spoke of is probably like this, not actual insanity, just the sane action from an unfathomably different point of view and set of experiences. That is not to say it is harmless and shouldn’t be stopped, but, when confronted with apparent insanity the wise do make extra sure to not make assumptions. Then again, the wise are careful about not making assumptions in general.
Or so we assume.
She’s remarkably level-headed. It’s the situation that’s nuts.
