Daisy: Wild things are opportunistic. You don’t hold a grudge when every day is a struggle to survive.
Daisy: You were only attacked because you seemed vulnerable. Now it’ll think twice if it sees you again.
Kiro: I think you’re dehumanizing him a little too much. If he’s still even one percent human, he’s gonna be salty about it.
They both have a point. Some animals do keep a bit of a grudge, though. Lions and hyenas will antagonize each other and if they kill one of the other ones, they won’t eat it – they just leave it.
But in general, Daisy is right.
Oh boy, theory prove-out time! =)
Some animals do keep a grudge, crows in particular. They’ll not only remember you being a jerk, but they’ll tell their friends about you being a jerk and then you start having problems.
Humans are the best at holding grudges.
Missing from transcript — Daisy: Down we go…
I think he’s salty about it.
Saltiness incoming.
If it’s even remotely related to the curse, it’s definitely out for her blood.
I think Daisy is dehumanizing a bit, but she’s not entirely right about animals either. Some can and will hold grudges, and those that don’t, can still go crazy or act abnormally from an injury, sickness, or an unknown.
Had a bear go a bit odd where I’m from a few years back, for seemingly no reason. Went on a sheep killing-spree without eating them, (or only eating the best part), and was just walking straight towards the only person that saw it. (Said person backing off to his four-wheeler and GTFO’d).
