Kiro: Donate? To you? I saw you eat that whole chicken.
Darien: That was the first ship of the year!…Anyways, 50 phones is 50 meals – about two weeks.
Penny: You probably won’t die.
Penny: You sure that isn’t a tad harsh, though?
Darien: Let’s take it to a vote, then.
Jack: Yea from Jack.
Darien: Yeah from Darien.
[Kiro: Have mercy.]
Penny: Yea from Penny
Darien is quick with numbers. By my computations he eats about 3.6 meals per day.
Quick, but not necessarily accurate.
With 3 meals a day, it would be ~2½ weeks. (16⅔ days.)
Apparently Kiro stole at least four times that many phones, though. So by Darien’s logic, it would be at least two months to go without food. In Alaska.
To me it seems like the theft is just a cheap excuse to get food.
What do they use for currency? Candy cigarettes?
Roughly why I hate democracy. “We all raise our hands/write a name on a piece of paper, and we get to bully you.” As an alternative, you vote what you get to do, I vote what I want to do, and we record names instead of numbers.
Wait, first ship of the year in early summer? How secluded *is* this place?
