[Kiro: Something seems deeply wrong with this…]
Kiro: Why is there a huge game room in a rehab camp for internet addicts?
Penny: Think about it. How do you treat addiction if the temptation isn’t there?
Darien: If you can stay out of this room for 12 months, you get to leave. So far no one’s lasted more then three… three weeks.
With all this, who would want to leave? 🙂
Yeah, that was my immediate thought too. Assuming you can find food.
I was expecting a horrifying gulag, a pit full of cannablals or just a field of bones.
This is far, far, more horrifying.
Especially if they have Facebook.
Honestly this place feels more like a place to shove all the addicts rather than rehabilitate them.
Think about it as a person who runs the camp. You tell people you are rehabbing them and you have a fool proof way of knowing when they are but you really just intending to keep them there as long as possible. Someone has to be paying the bills and its probably an amount per person at camp so the longer they stay the more they make on them.
You have just described every government (federal, state and local) help program ever.
(Well almost every. There’s gotta be some that graduate clients, somewhere)
Hey, anyone who has been banished for over 12 months should be able to leave.
I did not expect this. And I like to be surprised by my reading material. This is a good comic!
“Name Unknown, your entry has been logged.”
The system has a known exploit.
I guess the judge who sentenced Kiro to this place is a share-holder.
