9.38 Transcript
Shay: Ever since Reina won, it’s been a soap opera, huh?
Kiro: I have to agree.
Shay: And your relationship…
Kiro: I don’t really know how to describe my situation with Reina. Some weird dependency, or something.
Shay: Tough spot to be in, huh.
Kiro: Yeah, I’m having a hell of a time.
Kiro: Right now, I suppose she’s sitting in that stupid chair with her feet up on the desk. Enjoying this way too much.
Kiro: It’s not good for her, and it’s kind my fault.
So, it sounds like Reina is the sort that likes to bask in glory while the work and toil is foisted off on ‘underlings’, which, by default, is those more capable but less domineering. Bad juju there, especially when it’s so obvious to pretty much everyone in the camp.
Shay confirmed as smart, analytic, and a political player.
That’s kinda the problem with this bunch: too many political players. I suspect that’s why Daisy left.
It almost reminds of Spaceballs again, with Skroob.
“You’ve got to help me! I can’t make decisions! I’m a PRESIDENT!”
Eventually, you have to take ownership of your leadership, or someone else will do it for you.
Even if she is doing it with good intentions, Kiro has been manipulating her this whole time. Sure, she’s got a lot of lives to save, but it’s not likely to work out well to hinge her plans on somebody so dysfunctional.
True, but Kiro can only work with what she has close at hand. Pickin’s are kinda slim thereabouts.
