[Kiro: It’s just so creepy how he remembers nothing. What did she do to him before I got there?]
Kiro: Gah, don’t scare me like that!
Kechika: Do not worry, you have nothing to be afraid of. I am no threat to you.
Kechika: I gave up my power a long time ago. It is all in the land now.
Kiro: What did you do to him, then?
Kechika: The exact same that you did to a couple of those kids.
Kiro: Then am I a land spirit?
Kechika: No.
Kechika being… accommodating? This seems promising. Hopefully it is possible for these two to work together and stop the curse.
Really, to be wary of eagles makes less and less sense.

Well, Kiro ain’t got nothin to lose. And doesn’t seem too averse to taking risks!

I like the way the development in the story is predominately driven by women. It gives this comic an interesting touch. Kiro, Daisy, Keshika, even Mom, Penny and Reina.
Or maybe it’s more like, “this puny human dared to fight me and I should show her who’s boss”? 🙂 We’ll see!

Nah man, I’m dumb, and I will happily take orders from a competent seeming woman.
Maybe I’m not dumb.
Maybe I’m over-educated and underemployed.
I’ll still take orders (and almost happily).
… and I will make sure they are carried out in the most efficient way I have available to me

I know there’s still reason to be wary, but I’m liking how these two have already struck up an odd sort of mentor/mentee friendship. I guess only time will tell if it lasts…
